Watercolors offer a lot of possibilities for self-expression. In this course students will learn detailed information through the use of visual aid and teacher demonstrations about all aspects of watercolors.

Course Content:

- Introduction to transparent watercolors

- The main characteristics of watercolors.

- Introduction to water color techniques, including:

- Watercolor washed

- Creating swatches of paint from primary and secondary colors

- Glazing technique

- Creating texture

- Masking technique

- Painting techniques:
• Wet on wet
• Dry on wet
• Wet on dry
• Dry on dry

 

 

Materials:

• Paint brushes for watercolors

• Watercolor paints

• Watercolor paper

• Watercolor mediums and additives

• Accessories for water color painting
