Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain

This incredibly interesting course is taken from Betty Edwards renowned book called
“Drawing on the right side of the Brain”. Drawing on the right side of the brain is based
on the concept that the left and right side of the brain process information in very
different ways. The right side of the brain is referred to in the creative manner, as the left
side is the more pragmatic manner. Betty Edwards Teaches the artist to identify the
drawing components as five perceptions: edges, spaces, relationships, lights and shadows,
and the perception of the whole. This technique encourages the brain to think, draw and
perceive things differently. It is a unique way to release the mind from the constraints of
logical drawing and go more with the creative self.
